About

On November 8th, 2011 New Jersey voted to permit legal sports wagering in the state. Now, the state attorney-general is defending New Jersey’s choice in Federal court, where the professional sports leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL), plus the NCAA, are seeking to block the state from regulating and taxing legal sports betting at Atlantic City casinos and race tracks.

On January 9th, 2013, New Jersey intends to begin licensing the state’s gaming operators to offer regulated, legal sports betting.

Sports wagering will enable people in NJ to bet safely, and state regulators can ensure that the integrity of our games are protected.
